You can check out Books, DVD’s, Audio Books, Puzzles, Games, Magazines, Cake Pans and get Kids Take Home Crafts.  Our community room is available as well as computers for online use.

Free WIFI is available at the library.

COPIES AND FAXES:
The library has a copier and printer for public use, there is a .30 fee per page. There is also a fax machine available, with a $1.00 per page fee. There is a patron computer with internet access available free of charge.

LIBRARY CARDS
A library card is free to anyone who is a resident of Eastford. The Connecticard program allows a resident of any town in the state who holds a valid borrower card issued by his home library to use that card to borrow materials from any public library in the state. To register for a card in Eastford, identification is needed showing your name and current mailing address. If you have recently moved to town, any piece of correspondence showing Eastford residency is acceptable. A parent or guardian with proper identification must sign applications for library cards for children under 12. Books borrowed at any Connecticut library may be returned at any other.

LENDING OF MATERIAL:
The Eastford Public Library loans books, magazines (including current issues) books on CD/tape and music CD’s to any person with a valid Connecticut library card. DVD’s s may be taken out by a patron under 17 if their parent/guardian is present. The lending period for books, music CD’s/audiotape and magazines is 3 weeks. If you would like to login and see your patron information, type in your barcode number and the password Userpass. After you login for the first time, you will be prompted to set a private password. Interlibrary loan service available at the library The resources of the Eastford Public Library are cataloged through CONNCert. Many items in the system may be requested for delivery to the EPL for your use. The library staff is happy to show you how to enter a request or to enter the request for you.

EBookseBooks and eAudiobooks are available at the library over the internet through a service called Overdrive through Bibliomation. You can search for, check out and download eBooks or eAudiobooks to a computer or eReader. This service is available only to Eastford residents and you must have a valid library card to participate. If interested, come down to the library and we will set up an account for you.  

ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGIES:
The Eastford Public Library is committed to making its building accessible to all its users. An elevator enhances physical access.

Annual Adopt-a-Book Fundraiser – Fall 2022
Choose a book and make a donation to purchase it for the Library at cost. Tell us whom you want to honor with the donation. We will make a custom bookplate in honor of that person and affix it to the book. The book will be put on the library shelf for patrons to read.
